Bridge Ministry
For those in the St. Aloysius community who have fallen on hard times, the Bridge Ministry will help connect you to resources for assistance in the New Canaan community.  Contact Ed Millette 203-772-6609

Christmas Star Program
Pluck a "star family" from the Christmas tree in church. Then take your family and get shopping. Wrap it all up and bring the gifts to the gym where the volunteer elves load up and drive the “starships” to their destinations. A needy family will have a bountiful Christmas and your family will get the best gift of all - the one of giving to others. To help, contact Hope Carter at 203-966-5186.

Communion Calls to the Sick & Homebound
The comfort of receiving our Lord in the Eucharist is available to all those who are homebound.  To arrange for at home communion, contact Tom Aylward at 203-966-0941.

Driving Miss Daisy
Bring our non-driving senior citizens to the 5:30 Saturday evening Mass. It will be the highlight of their week and a great way to acquire a whole new set of "grandparents". This ministry also makes it possible for our non-driving seniors to attend parish special events. Contact: Mike Salvati at 203 966-4398.

E-Team (Hospitality)
Planning our Parish celebrations. This is a ministry where many hands make light work, and truly provide a wonderful service to our parish community. If you like to cook, decorate tables or plan parties – this is the team for you!  If you can help, contact Carroll Yanicelli at 203-966-6524.

Food Pantry
This town-wide effort, based at St. Mark's Church, helps to sustain needy families right in New Canaan who come to “shop” weekly for groceries. St. A’s is an important supplier to the Food Pantry.
Donations are accepted in the back large parking lot side entrance to the church in the basket by the Chapel door.  Donations are taken over to the Food Pantry weekly by our Confirmation students.

Parish Partners
For parishioners in need of a friendly visitor whether it be a visit or a phone call. Contact: Carrie Sindelar
at (203) 972-8030.

Life Is Love – Stand For Life
This ministry seeks to raise awareness of the dignity of every human life from the moment of conception to natural death and to prepare and implement plans to achieve and encourage awareness in it.  Contact Sue Lione at 203-966-5961 or email slione@optonline.net.

Meals on Wheels
St. A's is a big part of this town-wide program, delivering big smiles and hot lunches from Waveny Care Center to the homebound in New Canaan. If you can give a couple of hours once a month on Tuesdays for this most rewarding service, contact Kathleen Redman 203 652-1171.

Mother Teresa's Closet in the Little Red House
Our little red house in the back of the parking lot is the drop off for gently used clothing which is then sorted and distributed to families in need all over the area. If you can help sort or deliver, contact: Mary Ward.

Newcomers
The St. A's "welcome wagon" will call and visit all newcomers to the parish, helping them find their niche and become part of the Family. If you are new, or if you love to meet new people, contact: Melanie Barnard or call
203-972-0858.

Parish Nurses
Once a month, our nurses are available to monitor your blood pressure after the weekend Masses. A great and very healthy service! If you need help, or are a nurse and can help, contact Kim McNamara.

Sunday Hospitality Coffee
Come to Stapleton Hall after the 10 a.m. Sunday Mass and enjoy a cup of coffee, a sip of juice, and a doughnut in fellowship with friends, old and new. Sign up to “host” once or twice a year – it's a breeze with all directions printed out for you, and lots of people to help. Contact: Michele Sloan or call 972-5848.
