Want to Be a Teen Leader in Youth Ministry Next Year?
St. Aloysius Youth Ministry offers teen leader opportunities to help our teens grow in discipleship and begin to emerge as Catholic leaders. Teens journey with Youth Minister Chris Otis to lead outreach and prayer/worship opportunities.  They are supported as they help plan and execute events, recruit peers to participate, lead team meetings and prayer, as well as gain confidence to stand as disciples of Christ as witnesses to our Catholic faith in the world.  Support of a virtus trained parent is encouraged. Attendance at Fall Teen Leader training with clergy and ongoing support of youth ministry opportunities other than their assigned ministry is required.  Participation in Summer Mission Trip or Steubenville Youth Conference is encouraged.

Trip to the Bronx to Take the Thorpe Children to the Playground
Wednesday, June 29
We will meet at 9:30 am and head to the Bronx for a morning of playground fun and games with these children in crisis.  Sign up at:

The Youth Minister of St. Matthew in Norwalk and I have developed a Summer Mission Day of prayer, service and fellowship!  We are so excited to get our teens together to serve in the name of the Catholic Service Corps!  This day of service is open to those who are rising freshmen to graduated seniors.  Due to the requirements of one of our service sites, we have limited spots available and all teens must be at least 13 years old to participate.  This is a great option to do something with some of your teens, especially if you are not able to do our summer mission trip.

One of our service opportunities will be putting on a mini carnival and BBQ for Malta House - I know so many of you love those children, so I am hoping you will come participate in the day so that they will see some familiar faces!  Once we get our St. A's team set, we will get together to organize some carnival games!

We have also invited some of the other surrounding town parishes to bring teens to join us, so due our limited number of slots, I urge you to check your family calendar asap and sign up asap so that I can ensure that you can participate!

Please sign up asap at:

There is a fee of $25 to participate and to help defray the costs of the day.  We have received a grant from the St. John Paul II Fund for Religious Education & Faith Formation to cover most of the costs and some scholarships.   If you need a confidential scholarship, please let me know.  You can send your check made out to St. Aloysius to my attention OR pay securely online noting that your payment is for SUMMER MISSION DAY - it is very impt to put DAY in the description!  The online payment link is:

We will need one additional virtus trained chaperone from our parish to join me and Jozie Bell.  Due to the scope of the day, all participants do need to be able to be present for the entire day.  If you are interested in being a chaperone, please reach out to me asap, as we need to save chaperone slots for other parishes.

It is going to be a great day and I hope that you can join us!!!

Teens ... Make a Spiritual New Year's Resolution for 2022
Romans 12:1-2 calls us to daily transformation of our minds so we can know and live out God’s will for us. "I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, your spiritual worship. Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect."

Perhaps you will ask for God's help to:
Come to Mass EVERY Sunday

  • Attend 5pm Teen Mass with contemporary praise & worship band music and a "student section"
  • Participate in monetary stewardship. Every Sunday bring cash to put into the basket ... give up something for the week and give what you would have spent on it to GOD!

Consider attending Daily Mass once-a-week or even just once-a-month - Our first Before School Teen Mass will be on February 3
