SUMMARY:Youth Ministry - Summer Mission day 2025
DESCRIPTION:We invite high school rising freshmen to graduated seniors to join us for our Summer Mission Day 2025. \nServing as the Catholic Service Corps\, we will come together from different parishes to \nPRAY\, SERVE & LOVE! \nWe will gather at St. Matthew Church\, located at 216 Scribner Avenue in Norwalk at 10am.  Our day will begin with ice breakers and Mass. At St. Matthews\, we will work together on our first service project\, have a speaker\, have lunch together and have free time in the Rec Center! Then will take a bus to Malta House in Norwalk\, where we will set up a mini carnival with games\, crafts and a BBQ and engage with the single mothers of Malta\, the alumni Partnering Success moms and their children.  We will end our day with reflection and an evening prayer service and pick up by parents wil be at Malta House (139 West Rocks Rd in Norwalk) between 7:30 and 8pm.  TEENS MAY NOT DRIVE FROM ST. MATTHEWS TO MALTA HOUSE … THEY MUST RIDE THE BUS AND ARRANGE FOR PARENTS TO PICK THEM UP AT MALTA. \nThere is a fee of $35 per student to help to cover the costs of the day.  We also need some donations\, if you are able to help. You may sign up for them on the sign up genius. If you need assistance with the fee\, please reach out to your parish youth minister/coordinator.  Participating parishes will be collecting fees – please see your youth minister/coordinator for instructions. \nIf we receive our grant from Foundations in Faith\, we will have t-shirts.We will do our best to accomodate your t-shirt size!  Unfortunately\, if we do not receive the grant\, we will need the full amount of your registration fee to cover our event costs. \nAll attendees must fill out the diocesean liability form\, which can be done online or hard copy.  We ask that parish youth ministers/coordinators collect all of the liabilty forms and fees. \nPlease Click Here to sign up.
