Outreach Opportunities - New Canaan Food Pantry
The New Canaan Food Pantry provides non-perishable items to qualified individuals and families living in New Canaan. If you are a resident in need of food, please call the Human Services Department at 203-594-3076.
Wish to volunteer at the NC Food Pantry? Adult Volunteers Only (High School Age Children and Younger May Not Accompany an Adult) can call 203-594-3076.
St. Aloysius supports the New Canaan Food Pantry by collecting non-perishables and taking them over to the pantry weekly. Our Knights of Columbus, partner with Youth Ministry and our Confirmation students on our Annual Love Your Neighbor Food Drive each November.
Drop your donations inside the door at the back of the church by the left side Chapel entrance. They are currently in need of:
Shelf Stable Boxed Milk (including Almond/Oat)- Microwave Popcorn
- Bags of Tortilla Chips & Salsa
- Boxes of Teabags
- Coffee
- Hot Chocolate
- Quick Cooking Oats
- Saltine Crackers
You may also make a difference from the comfort of your home. The New Canaan Food Pantry has an Amazon Wish List where you can easily choose items to donate and have them shipped directly to the Food Pantry. Select their address at checkout! These items are only suggestions, so if you find a more affordable alternative, feel free to choose that instead. Every donation helps us support our neighbors in need.
