Are you or a family member abstaining from receiving Communion because you are gluten-free? We have special gluten-free hosts that can be consecrated for you during the Mass. If you or a family member has a need to receive via a gluten-free host, please stop by the Priest’s Sacristy 10 minutes prior to Mass time and our clergy will be happy to help you be fed by the Eucharist!

Music Ministry

Come be a part of the Saint Aloysius Music Ministry!

Ushers

Our Usher Ministry Mission Statement covers the function of Usher and represents current liturgical practice at St. Aloysius Church, New Canaan, CT. Ushers embody the principles of hospitality and welcoming of the faithful and assist in preparing our brothers and sisters to participate in the Divine Liturgy.

The Ministry of ushers is the oldest lay ministry in the Church and is based on the clerical order of Porter. Today women, as well as teenagers and children are encouraged to participate as ushers.

The primary duties of ushers include cheerfully greeting and welcoming parishioners as they enter the church, helping them to find seats, particularly the elderly and those with special needs, taking up the collections, helping those bringing forward the gifts, escorting the Eucharistic Minister to people who are not able to come forward to receive Communion, After Mass, we wish everyone a good day and distribute bulletins.
