Praying for Life

Next Saturday marks yet another anniversary of the Roe v.
Wade decision that legalized abortion. Year after year, the prolife movement has consistently challenged lawmakers to
embrace the dignity and sanctity of human life from conception
until natural death in the hope that one day the Roe v. Wade
decision would be overturned. We are closer than ever to that
possibility, but prayers are needed to make it a reality. Our
St. Aloysius pro-life ministry has planned many opportunities for
our parish family to pray (together or individually) for the world
to embrace a culture of life. Please visit the narthex and commit
to praying the Rosary or joining us for Eucharistic Adoration or
Mass.

Praying Together as a Town
On January 26th at 7:30 PM, please join clergy from the
different congregations in New Canaan as we pray together for
our town. As a clergy group we were inspired to spend time in
prayer for our beloved town as we embark on a new year. Saint
Aloysius will host the first of what we hope to be an annual
service of prayer, reflection, and music, as we ask God to bless
New Canaan, keep us safe, and give us the gift of unity and
peace.

Praying for an End to the Pandemic
Please keep praying through the intercession of Saint Aloysius
for an end to the virus, the health and safety of all, and a full
recovery for those who are sick. I’m grateful for your
cooperation as we work to keep each other safe in church.
Bishop Caggiano has encouraged everyone – regardless of
vaccination status – to wear a face-covering to get us through
the next few weeks.

Praying for you every day!
